The Saphir 300 Portable Grinding and Polishing machine is designed for accurate surface and microstructure replication for non-destructive testing. The durable power supply uses a rechargeable battery to power the hand held micro motor. Dual outlets on the power supply will allow the user to connect two motors for grinding and polishing. The variable speed control accurately controls polishing speeds to eliminate material deformation during preparation. A wide variety of grinding discs and polishing cloths are available to fit the rubber preparation discs.
After preparation and etching, the microstructure replica can be produced using either elastic replication polymer or the traditional acetate tape method.
